I'll wait until some more info pops up (I really want to know what the difference between the 15 and 10 disc sets is- is it just the movies on 5 DVDs or is it 5 discs of actual content?) but this set seems quite promising and is a big surprise. Now, for the first time ever, experience the terror of every Halloween film available together in 1 set! This limited edition deluxe set includes 15 discs jammed with content Halloween fans will love. Brand new, never before seen bonus features including new interviews with cast and crew, commentaries, behind the scenes documentaries, and so much more. Plus, the NEVER BEFORE RELEASED Producer’s Cut of Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers! The set also features both Blu-ray versions of Halloween as well as the Network TV versions of Halloween and Halloween 2. Here it is, the one that started it all – Halloween: The Complete Collection.
I'd guess that the TV version of Halloween II will be the same SD version that's on Scream's disc since I think Universal trashed all their movies' deleted footage back in the 1980's. I'm going to hold out hope for the producer's cut of H6 in HD though but honestly, I will be happy to just have a copy that looks better than the VHS bootleg that I got about 15 years ago.Jari K said:I've a feeling that some of these versions (TV versions, prod cut) are only on DVD. I mean do they even have HD elements of these?
I'm just a pessimist but I think the 35th anniversary disc will be the same exact disc as before. That disc had a mono track- it wasn't the original mono track but that's another topic- and the wording in this press release ("...and the recently remastered 35th Anniversary version with the mono track added back in!") isn't specific enough to make me think that it's anything other than what they released last year.Ignatius said:And I'm sure everyone who bought the 35th Anniversary release must be thrilled to be told they can get the original mono audio missing from that disc if they pony up over $100 for a new boxset.
What mono track was it? Was it just a re-mixdown of the 5.1 or something?TravisR said:I'm just a pessimist but I think the 35th anniversary disc will be the same exact disc as before.
