It will be an afternoon and evening of frights and fun as the Tolsky Cinema opens it's doors the weekend before Halloween.
There will be 3 CLASSIC screenings:
    1) The Universal Classic, THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN
    2) The John Carpenter Classic, HALLOWEEN
    3) The Warner Bros./Friedkin Classic: THE EXORCIST

The time of arrival will be posted soon. Eats will be worked out also. Please let me know if you can make it. A great time will be had by all!!

    Brian W:

I hope you can make it this time! I don't own any of the Nightmare movies but feel free to bring it along if you like. Maybe we'll skim through the "best" parts or something.

PS: I get the feeling by the looks of how many hits this thread got to how many responded, people are still scared of The Exorcist. C'mon people, it's good old fashioned scary fun [IMG]

Oh dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't come. Why? I'm flying in that afternoon from Hong Kong. You'll be half way done prior to my arrival.

As for Nightmare/Elm Street, I have a HDTV version. I'd be happy (even though I'll be gone) to loan my D-VHS VCR and that tape if you and your guest care to peruse. I think that's the only Halloween type movie I have on D-VHS.

Yo Dave, not sure if I can make this one--a friend from out of town is visiting that day. But then again, if you were showing Scary Movie, that would be hard to pass on [IMG]
Better yet, I hear Rat Race is a pretty scary movie [IMG] [IMG]

Is the first one a "family friendly" scary movie at which kids are allowed?

Jonathan, Bride of Frankenstein was made in the 30s, and would certainly earn a "G" rating today. It's good clean scary fun. [IMG]

    Nils,

Good suggestions! I will be doing several "themed" screenings in the future and the psycological thriller is a great idea for one of them.

    Dave,

Sadly, I am working that weekend. I am back on graveyards and working all different days... Gone are the days of working Mon-Fri with weekends off, but also gone is the 26-mile each way commute since I am now working at our new dispatch facility in West Hills! Woohoo!

    Hope you all have fun!

Brian, it never happened. Just not enough people interested
or they were just not available.

I am going to do a Lord of the Rings marathon when Return of the King comes out. I've posted a thread on it so we'll see what happens.
