Any new news on the 25th anniversary version coming out? I've been watching my Criterion LD, and now that I have a widescreen TV, I'd really like something anamorphic, so I'm trying to decide whether to buy the current theatrical cut...or wait for the 25th anniversary.

Anchor Bay re-releases this movie about every nine weeks, so keep a look out.

I don't think there is much new to add at this point but Anchor Bay will indeed be releasing a 25th Anniversary Edition of Halloween in Fall 2003. It will supposedly have an audio commentary and some other goodies yet to be determined. Will this be the audio commentary from the Criterion LD or an all knew commentary?? I guess we'll have to stay tuned.

It probably won't be the same since Criterion usually doesn't liscense out their stuff.

Thx for the info...for the time being I'll just stick with my Criterion LD.
