Who is having a Halloween Movie Marathon and what movies are you watching?
You know it! Of course you have to watch: Halloween (only the original) The Thing (Carpenter) Prince of Darkness Sleepy Hollow Return of the Living Dead hmmm, drawing a blank...what else?
I work till 2, but as soon as I'm home... it's Halloween movie time. My list is as follows: (ones I own) A few episodes of Angel/Buffy Final Destination 1/2 Ghostbusters 1/2 Mothman Prophecies (maybe) The Others Sixth Sense Spongebob Squarepants: Halloween Stir Of Echoes The Thing (John Carpenters version) Unbreakable Would like to get/rent: Halloween (and some subsequent sequels) A ton others actually, but I just can't think of 'em...
We're having a Halloween party, and at the end those brave enough to stay late will enjoy The Exorcist in our theatre... We watched a few horror flicks this month... Fear Dot Com (garbage) Dream Catcher (better than I expected) House of 1,000 corpses (kinda retro-style fun) 28 Days Later (Good, but no Dawn of the Dead) Dang it, there's one other one but I can't remember what it was... - Cryo
This is my first halloween with my front projection setup, so I had to throw a movie marathon. The three I've got coming from Netflix are: 1) 28 Days Later 2) The Exorcist: Restored Version 2) Nightmare on Elm Street Believe it or not, I've seen none of these! It seems that most of my guests haven't either! I might try to pick up Psycho or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre as backups before friday. We're hoping to make it through 3+ movies, and the object is to scare ourselves silly. I'd certainly appreciate suggestions for alternative movies that will leave us mentally scarred! Chris
I'm doing the 13 Halloween Movie Challenge and I am saving my last 3 movies to watch on Halloween. They include : Psycho (Orginal) Alien Halloween and..... If I have time, they are showing Pet Sematary at our local theater to celebrate Halloween. That movie had a major effect on me when I first saw it. I believe I was 8. Raymond
i've been trying to watch at least one halloween appropriate movie every night for a week now Dead & Buried The Amityville Horror Captain Kronos House Of Wax Burnt Offerings Halloween 3 would still like to get in Squirm The Thing (original) and maybe Beast from 20000 Fathoms or Halloween (25th ann) before friday
This week I've watched Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter, Cat People, The Curse of the Cat People, and Carrie. On Halloween I will probably be watching Carnival of Souls and Audition (never seen either), and Night of the Living Dead (which my wife hasn't seen and has demanded we watch).
I've been trying to watch at least 1 horror movie everyday this week, but on Halloween I'm planning The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror and Halloween (surprise!). I'd watch more but I'm doing the "special Halloween night makeup" at a haunted house again this year.
Hey Chris, you've got a nice lineup of films there. The Exorcist is without doubt one of the most disturbing films you'll ever see. Just as a warning, if you or any of your guests are sensitive to extremely obscene language, beware. The Exorcist makes pulp fiction look like kidnergarten. Awesome flick though if you have a strong stomach - Cryo
I'll be heading to the video store tomorrow afternoon to pick up some movies. I've got about 5 people coming over for the all-nighter so it should be a lot of fun. I'm hoping to get: THE OMEN LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT THE AMITYVILLE HORROR TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES I've never seen ANY of these movies before so I'm very much looking forward to it.
Return of the Living Dead Day of the Dead 28 Days Later Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original) DuffMan says "Oh Yeah!"
Definitely It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (long time tradition), plus Halloween, The Fog, Halloween III, and Ghost Story.
tcm's Frankenstein trifecta , capped off with Phantasm.
Casper SE - for my 4 year old Ghostbusters - for my 8 year old 28 Days Later Sleepy Hollow The Ring
HALLOWEEN (it's a given!) HALLOWEEN 2 THE FOG POLTERGEIST PRINCE OF DARKNESS Maybe THE AMITYVILLE HORROR if I can stay up that late (getting older is a bitch on nights like this! )
Hillbilly horror tonight at my house, with the following double feature: Texas chainsaw Massacre The Hills Have Eyes None of us have seen Hills, and none of my guests have seen Texas, so it should be fun!
The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms 28 Days Later Dreamcatcher Starting tonight at 7pm
Rosemary's Baby Halloween Shock Waves Texas Chainsaw Massacre Night Of The Living Dead (68) Race With The Devil Suspiria The Legend of Hell House Deep Red The Exorcist Started two nights ago.
In the past few weeks I've watched Frailty, The Others, Exorcist III, The Old Dark House, The Raven (1963), The Comedy Of Terrors, House On Haunted Hill, Creepshow, Burnt Offerings, Frenzy, some Twilight Zone episodes, and some Dark Shadows episodes. Tonight I'm hoping to watch some Halloween episodes of Bewitched on tape, Frankenstein, and Bride of Frankenstein.
