They also needed Nancy Loomis (who was in the sequel anyway) and PJ Soles who was supposedly really happy to come back for the one extra scene.

I'm very interested in this new documentary disc. Can't wait to pick it up. :)

I guess you could cut the ending off of Halloween and edit that into the prologue of HII, then cut the credits out of HII. Of course, that would lead to a bad jump cut for the theme music which starts before the titles and trails off after the titles. A new credit sequence combing both films would be necessary as well. But that would all be more trouble than it is worth. Also, seriously doubt Carpenter would be interested in incorporating HII into Halloween since he does not care much of HII

You said it all, Will: Carpenter thinks little of the sequel. I have not seen it in about fifteen years, but I wouldn't mind giving it another go, with the anamorphic Universal DVD that will do more justice to Cundey's lighting and the Panavision compositions. But that synthesizer version of the theme is still fresh in my memory! What was Carpenter thinking?!

Can't say I blame him, as I think it's pretty piss poor myself.

I'm looking forward to this, mainly for the Halloween III extras. I was disappointed when Universal released it as a barebones title, so this will hopefully be a nice substitute.

Well, the funny thing is, that the score was illegally used on two hardcore pornos, Angel in Distress (1982) and Kneel Before Me (1983). Carpenter, a self-confessed capitalist, must have been livid!

DavisDVD has posted specs for the Divimax DVDs of Halloween 4 and 5, which will also be released on July 25th, along with the 25 Years of Terror documentary.

YES! A Ellie Cornell/Danielle Harris commentary on Halloween 4 is just what I wanted.

I'm guessing that Ellie isn't on the Halloween 5 track because her character dies very early in the film. Still, she should have done it anyway. At least Danielle returns for the part 5 commentary. I hope they include the TV spots and teaser trailers for Halloween 4. I'll be buying all three of these DVDs. Two months to go.

I'll be double dipping on 4 & 5 also. I like 4 & 5. Good news indeed. Need that cleaner transfer and docs. :D
