Joe Sawyer and William Bendix make a good comedy team and, Mrs. Hopalong Cassidy, Grace Bradley is funny and cute.

Calling David of ClassicFlix!

Can you tell us how many volumes the remaining 10 Streamliners will be?

We plan to have 6 volumes:

Nothing solid yet, but Musicals are likely in August,
  • All-American Co-Ed (1941)
  • Fiesta (1941)
  • Flying with Music (1942)
a "Comedy" Volume in September/October time frame:
  • Niagara Falls (1941)
  • Miss Polly (1941)
  • The Devil with Hitler (1942)
  • Nazty Nuisance (1943)
  • The Fabulous Joe (1947)
then a "Curley" set hopefully this year, but the materials for Robbin are a challenge at the moment so it's tough to say a specific time frame:
  • Curley (1947)
  • Who Killed Doc Robbin (1948)

Thanks for the information on the proposed 3 volumes. I will be purchasing each one when they are released. I have been enjoying Volume 1. Thanks.

I like the collectability of these 'Streamliners" since there are only 22 of them. I also like the performers that appear in them. I plan on getting all of them.

"Curley" and "Who Killed Doc Robbin" were an attempt to bring back 'Our Gang' style comedy. Plus they are in Cinecolor.

"Robbin" features Lionel Atwell and Virginia Grey. "Curley" is a nice showcase for, the cute and likable, Frances Rafferty, as the new school teacher.

Thanks for your support Bob!

Funny that you posted the screencap of Frances Rafferty. We just finished the scan a couple of days ago for Curley. The elements have their issues to be sure, but it'll be better looking than anything out on the market.

Here's a screencap of our scan with the same frame as above:

Got mixed up, it's George Zucco in "Who Killed Doc Robbin", not Lionel Atwell.

Zucco and Atwell in "Fog Island", 1945.
