Available for the first time as a single-disc release (it was previously released as part of a two-disc set with Pecker) is the John Waters classic Hairspray. Due on November 5th, the disc will come a 16x9 transfer (1.85:1), DD 5.1 and 2.0 surround sound, English subtitles, an audio commentary from writer/director John Waters and star Ricki Lake, the trailer, and filmographies. Retail is $19.98.
Cherish, featuring Robin Tunney and Jason Priestley, will include 16x9 widescreen and fullscreen versions of the film, Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround Sound, English Subtitles and Closed Captions, weblinks and trailers. $26.98, December 10th
Tim Robbins and Patricia Arquette star in the comedy Human Nature, written by Being John Malkovich scribe Charlie Kaufman. This disc includes 16x9 (1.85:1) and fullscreen versions of the film, DD 5.1 and 2.0 Surround audio, French and English subtitles, DVD-ROM material, and a trailer. $26.98, December 10th.

Hairspray as described above sounds like it's exactly as presented in the two disc set, which makes me happy and sad:

Happy because I don't have to buy it again,
Sad because it dosn't contain the video footage of John Waters doing all the dances featured in the movie, a video that Ricki Lake talks about at length in the commentary!
