Does anyone know how I can get flat and heavy hair, the kind you get if you wear a hat after taking a shower?

    1. Start with a volumizing shampoo, like Nexxus.
    2. Do not condition hair (only condition once a week)
    3. Start with a small egg size amount of volumizing mouse (Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam is great!)
    3. Towel Dry (1/2 dry/wet)
    4. use Sebastian Molding Mud
    5. finish with Paul Mitchell Wax Works and a touch of Paul Mitchell Fast-Drying Sculpting Spray

moe's actually right on the money.

my friend also "trained" his hair by doing that when he was going for that "caeser cut" (sp?) look.

he also wore a towel on his head after taking a shower so that it would "weigh down" his hair.

iirc, i guess it worked, but now he's doing the spikey thing again...

Use any kind of pomade as opposed to mousse or gel. Bed Head works well for me - the stick form.

You can also leave a small amount of conditioner in your hair without rinsing it. That works too.

Wash, rinse, brush. That's me. (I have to use a brush instead of a comb because my hair's naturally curly and a comb can't even begin to do it justice.) It also helps that I keep it cut short....real short.

Does making the shampoo mohawk do anything for volume? Give it a try!

I shave my head, I used to have a roomate that wore a "do rag" on his head around the house to make it wavy, I've only seen black people wear these contraptions, my roommate never wore it out the house, but now it seems cool to wear one everywhere? this might work for what you want
