What I heard is that Nicole Kidman is interested in doing this and that she was courting Vin Diesel to play opposite her - but I never did catch whether they would be Sarah and Sky, or Nathan and Adelaide. I would guess the former, since the latter roles are more comedic.

It's a fantastic, often-revived crowd-pleasing musical comedy but the Brando-Sinatra movie doesn't begin to do it justice; I'd love to see another big-screen try at it.

Yeah, Brando admits in his autobiography that his singing was awful, and says the only way they could come up with a soundtrack where he hit the right notes was to splice together a bunch of different takes of his vocal.

The old version being so horrific, anything is better than that.

I've played about every major bit role in G&D. Texan, waiter in Havana, Angie the Ox, Joey Biltmore et all. Given that I'm a pretty good voice talent, they like using me because it's not immediately obvious. I've understudied Big Julie and Nicely Nicely. Sigh, I got Senior vs Junior'd for Big Julie, and Nepotism'd for Nicely Nicely

One day someone will give me my chance [IMG]

I like the film version quite a bit, though admittedly Brando's singing isn't up to snuff.

The opening scene is incredibly well-staged, I doubt it can be bettered.
