    Import review from Gamespot:
    Gungrave
    One word...OUCH!
They also went ahead and reviewed Capcom VS SNK 2 on the Gamecube:
    CapcomVSSNK
    A second word for you...OUCH!
EDIT: I still have interest in both of these titles despite the reviews. I'm still gonna give them a whirl when they are released (At the very least a rental). As always the best reviewer out there is you[IMG]. (Still disheartening to say the least[IMG])

I read the Gungrave review. I can say that the reasons the reviewer didn't like Gungrave is the reason I don't like a lot of games.

It's kinda sad because it looked so stylish and cool. Too bad it's so short.

that's a shame, sounds liek a good rental though.
i figured it would be short and shallow to begin with, more appropriate as an arcade game.

The opening quote about Capcom VS SNK not being suited to the GC controller is not surprising in the least. I've suspected from the moment I first saw the GC controller that Capcom style fighters would be a bitch to play with that thing. Too bad they chose to use that funky face button arrangement which has no apparent advantages over the standard diamond layout [IMG]
I honestly think most of the GC controller was designed simply for the sake of being different and appearing "innovative". The face button layout sucks, the c-stick is lame (why the hell isn't a normal analog stick?), no mirror to the Z-button (God forbid they have four shoulder buttons like Sony!), the Z-button is too stiff, etc...
As usual, all of this is IMO.

The Z-button was added at the last minute because developers wanted it.

I personally like the controller, but it does suck for Capcom-style fighters. Why doesn't someone make a custom controller where the 4 faces buttons are in a diamond pattern?

Ok Romier we need to head to Japan and smack SEGA around, first CT3 and now Gungrave.
