Anyone playing Guild Wars? I cancelled my WoW account a while ago because I just don't have the time for it. I'm now thinking about picking up Guild Wars since it seems like something that you can sit down and play for an hour or two and still have a lot of fun. I was in on one of the early beta free weekends and it seemed pretty cool.

The PVE part of the game is very bland. It's only worth playing through to build a character for PVP. The PVP is very fun, and thankfully hitting lvl 20 very quickly.

I would have to heartily disagree about the PVE(story driven section). I, and I know many, many others, haven't done any PVP stuff, yet, and still have an absolute blast with the game.

I would have to agree with the above. I'm at Yak's Bend so far and the PvE has been a blast! You don't have to group if you don't want to as the quest areas that 'need' a group offer NPC group members called Henchmen (just click on the ones you want in your group and hit invite just like a player) and oddly enough they actually work very well IMO (I haven't had any yet get stuck or anything like that). I haven't touched the PvP game yet either as I think I'm going to wait till I get on up there with my PvE character and unlock stuff.

Glad to hear the positive remarks. I think that I'll go ahead and pick it up to give it a try.
