Does any here use Denon's 7.1 widescreen mode? Any thoughts or comments on it?

J- I can say that I've never had a Denon, but I wish my last 2 pre/pro's had the equivalent of Denon's widescreen mode...

Just to make sure, 'cause it's been a while, 7.1 widescreen mode copies the left surround to the left rear, and right surround to the right rear.

I believe that for some std 5.1 DD/DTS soundtracks, this might be a better way of supporting a 7.1 system rather than say Outlaw's CES modes on the 950, or Rotel's xS modes on the 1066.
