Hmmm... anyone else notice Gruv seems to be starting to carry a few 4Ks from (recent) Criterion and Shout releases?

Their website very clitchy at start. After entering credit card info instead of getting message "Your order has been received" etc. ,it just says your cart is empty. However the order did go through and you get an email saying so. Don't order again or you will get duplicate order.

Blazing Saddles 4K is listed as part of a 2 for $24 4K sale but it was out of stock at the beginning of sale. Maybe it will be available later but who knows.

The site appears to be getting hammered hard. Very, very sluggish to load anything and searches often crash the site.

Likely due to the really good prices for what's on offer...

Just for clarity, the prices quoted for these 8 titles include the 20% coupon discount; so the actual GRUV price for the Tremors set is $14.99 and the rest are $7.99. (I know because this was my order and post on DVDTalk :)).

I looked at the Tremors set but already own them all in sets and individual releases. Even for the space savings I'm finding it more difficult these days to double dip for seldom viewed movies. I watch the first 2 semi-regularly but rarely the rest.

I *was* able to get in an order later in the day on Friday - mostly filling in some gaps and upgrading a couple of older DVDs. The site was behaving more normally after 6pm or so. I totally missed Annie Hall thinking I already owned a copy (I do, on DVD) so didn't snag that one. I picked up a copy of "Scooby-Doo: Where Are You - The Complete Series" for my oldest granddaughter - she loves the series - for $11.39+tax after the 20% coupon. I couldn't pass it up at that price.

Just took a quick look... it appears those "May Day" deals are all still in effect for *some* sections so it's not too late...

I hear you on Tremors -- in fact I think I've yet to watch the last few sequels. But the opportunity to condense my current single blu-ray (the original) and incomplete series DVD set (missing the 7th) down to a single all-blu-ray set won me over at that price.

All 8 items in my order are DVD-to-blu upgrades for me (other than that original Tremors copy). Funnily enough I also initially thought that I already had Annie Hall on blu, but once I looked I realized I only had a DVD (I think I was mixing it up with Manhattan). In the end I was especially happy to upgrade both Annie Hall and Lolita because my current DVDs are rather ancient (from 1998 and 1999 respectively) and, I believe, non-anamorphic. So they were long overdue for upgrades.

If you like any of the Tremors sequels you'll likely enjoy the last few. They're mainly more of the same with Michael Gross as Burt Gummer (well... as his ancestor Hiram Gummer, same character-different name, in the 4th installment). Good cheesy fun. My copies are all BR but it's stand-alone releases outside the first four (those are in the "Attack Pack").

Just a heads up. GRUV has allowed items to remain in cart for a considerable amount of time at the price the items were at when placed in cart. Now you get a reminder that items will be removed if purchase not completed within a week or two, not exactly how long they allow aitems to stay in cart.
