Has anyone noticed that Gruv occasionally has two different listings at two different prices for what appears to be the same item?

For example, there's one Blu-ray of Prisoners that is listed at $11.99 and another one at $16.99 with the same artwork and details.

There's a Blu-ray+DVD steelbook of The Wizard of Oz for $14.99 and another for $20.69. Again, they display the same artwork and specs. They just have different release dates listed.

It's not clear what the differences are between the two editions of the same title, other than the price tags.

That's annoying. But couldn't you just pick a different third?

Alternatively, they might be able to restock it soon. A friend tried to buy Challengers earlier this month and found it sold out. Then it came back a couple days later. Maybe check back?

Thanks, in my experience it can be months before stock is replenished. I'll check back the next time I see the 3 for $20 deal.

Depends on your collection. I often struggle to find 3 titles I'd purchase that are *in stock* and *not* in my collection. If one goes OOS during the selection process it's "game over" for me.

Like Trevor said, titles coming back in stock is a huge crap shoot and can vary from days to months, if ever, before that happens.

The 30 film Universal Classic Monsters blu ray set is $51. I think that is cheapest it has been. If you get the 20% off to work it would be close to $40 plus tax.

Complete Smallville TV series blu ray $71.
Complete Grimm TV series blu ray $41.
Complete Legends of Tomorrow blu ray $43
Nightmare On Elm Street 7 film blu ray $17

I had both the Grimm complete series and Universal Classic Monsters BRs in my cart from them being on sale a couple of weeks back but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger... Then they drop the prices more so I add a Doctor Who title (an upgrade from DVD) and get it all for less than a couple of weeks back for just the Grimm & Universal sets...

I'd initially struggled to justify the Universal Classic Monsters BR set as I already own them all in the individual collection releases. I wanted that one *solely* to get Phantom with the same art design as the rest (its standard art looks out-of-place on the shelf with them and I never found were it got a re-release with that updated art) plus the outer box to hold it all. Since I caved, my daughter will be getting my single collection release versions of the titles. She, her fiancee, and my granddaughters (ages 18 & 13) are fans of all those films and only have some of them on disc. I'm hoping those are individually shrink wrapped inside the case so I can just swap out my sets for those and give her "new in shrink" versions. If not... she'll still be pleasantly surprised to get a set - the granddaughters will be thrilled.

Probably should have waited... they now have a couple more of the Doctor Who seasons marked down from yesterday... May have to place another order...

Hitchcock 4K Vol 3 includes "The Man Who Knew Too Much," "Torn Curtain," "Rope," "Frenzy," and "Topaz." $34.99 same as Amazon but if you get coupon to work you can save additional 20%.

GRUV EBAY Site 15% off 2 or more select 4K or Blu Rays. 20% off 2 or more select DVDs. Expires 12/31/24. Above Hitchcock set included in 15% off 4ks. Separate codes for each media type.

4K

Blu Ray

DVD

On another topic I see GRUV is now selling some Warner Archive and Paramount titles but their prices are much higher than Amazon or other e-tailers. $32 for Paramount Presents Blu Rays (not 4K). $46 for the 4K Paramount Presents "To Catch A Thief"
and $26 or more for Warner Archive single disks. $35 for "The Searchers" 4K. "The Thin Man" Box is $53. If you can get the 20% off coupon to work it would be about $42.40 for the 6 film "Thin Man" set and $28 for "The Searchers" 4K which are a little less than at Amazon. I believe regular Warner Bros titles were more expensive when they first were available at GRUV. Hopefully the prices will come down or they will be included in sales. Hopefully Sony movies will show up soon.

Sony disks are starting to show up at GRUV. They are selling the new 4K of "Talk of The Town" with Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, and Ronald Colman. At $36 not a bargain. More choices where to buy a disk is always a plus.

I wanted to mention April and the Extraordinary World, which Gruv currently has on sale for $8.99. I paid a lot more when I got it and have never seen it on sale this low before.

This is a really great movie that I love very much which most people don't seem to know exists. Gkids (the indie animation distributor which is primarily known as the studio which handles the Studio Gibli catalog in North America) released it back in 2016, but only booked it in 35 theaters. Fortunately, one of those 35 theaters was near me. I liked it so much I went twice in one week. If you're in the mood for a unique animated experience, I highly recommend it.

The film was made in French and starred Marion Cotillard in the titular role. But the English dub version is good too. Although Cotillard has worked in English as a Hollywood star, she did not reprise her role. But the dub features the voices of Paul Giamatti and Tony Hale, plus Susan Surandon and J.K. Simmons as a dysfunctional couple. Both audio tracks are on the disc. The dub version was temporarily licensed by Netflix for a period of time but I think it has since been removed.
