Considering it's released next month, I'd say there is a damn good chance it'll be Anamorphic. Woohoo!

The UK edition is anamorphic, if your set-up can handle a PAL signal.

How do we know though? is this site ALWAYS reliable?

Won't really know until someone has the disc in hand, no?

Because the info on that website is taken from the Buena Vista Japan website. Further, every Japanese brochure I have seen (and I have seen many) of the coming attractions has never changed the specs.

    Here is BVs webpage:

    WooHOO!!! I'm all over it!

So are there any other touchtone movies coming out in Japan that are a first for anamorphic releases?

Snow Dogs is one that is anamorphic. Not a great movie but the region 1 is P&S.

Also Country Bears is a proper anamorphic widescreen release.

    Just picked this up today.

It is, indeed anamorphic. But they left off the trailer. Oh well.

Was there a reason to reconfirm it? I told you it was anamorphic.

Umm...just sayin' that it definitely was. Ever heard of a packaging mistake? Just cause you SAID it would be on a website doesn't make it so until it's released.
    Relax.

    Dan,

Regardless of your attitude, you can NEVER be sure about something until it's released and it's in your hand. You want to know how many discs I've bought that said 16x9 on the website or on the packaging that weren't? I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying the possibility of it NOT being anamorphic still exists regardless of what you're seeing. It wasn't an attack on you but a confirmation that the information you received was correct.
