Hey guys,

I'm building a Shiva based subwoofer. I'm going to put a grill on it and have a couple questions about it.

First, I need to know what material I should use to make the grill structure. I was thinking about using either 3/4" mdf or 1/2" abs plastic.

Second, do the push on grill posts raise the grill off the cabinet? If so, how much?

Finally, will 3/4" clearance between the front of the speaker and the grill cloth be sufficient? According to Adire the Shiva has 15.8mm (5/8") of Xmax each way.

I'm glad I found that site. I had absolutely no idea how to build a speaker grill until I read that. I'm going to attempt to make some grills for my Adire Kit 281s and Kit 81s which I should be starting sometime soon.
