Hey guys,

I‘m a simple man and expect projector screens to be white. Why would I want a grey screen? I’m planning on a dark room with no windows.

You wouldn't. Go with white. Gray screens are meant to improve contrast in rooms that are not dark, or projectors with poor contrast.

You might want to read this to see why a gray screen may remain relevant even with projectors that have good contrast. It isn't just either or based on a projectors contrast ability.

I can't speak to a comparison, but I've always had a gray/silver screen and been very happy.

If I remember correctly, grey screens are also preferable for 3D film content due to the contrast boost they provide.
