If you are looking to go wireless, Amazon currently has a great deal on the Netgear MR814: including shipping for just $64.99. Shipping is free, and then there is a coupon here to bring it down to $44.99.

Sure, it's not the new high-speed protocol 802.11g, but honestly, I have one of the slow ones myself and am quite happy with it. It's definitely enough for everyday tasks.

Thanks for posting this Christian! I'm in the market right now for this very thing. I just went to Amazon's site and started looking around. They have a deal now from 5/29-6/7 for a $50 rebate if you buy the MR814 router and an MA401 laptop card at the regular price. If you buy the two separately you only get $30 worth of rebates, with this deal you get $50 off, basically making the card free. I may have to take them up on this offer!

D'oh! Two days too late. I just picked up the Linksys Wireless-B router and laptop card kit for $99 at BB.

Note that some people have called and were told that Amazon would accept copies of the UPCs! Therefore, you could do the two $30 individual rebates AND the $50 bundle rebate. Different people were told different things from different customer service reps -- but some were indeed told that they could do that.

So, in other words, if you are buying it, you might as well submit the extra rebates with the copies and see how it goes!
