I keep seeing the same message and my disk is only like 2 weeks old. It never has said that before with any other xbox game. "There is a problem with your disk, it may be dirty or damaged." Online and off it just stops the game and goes to this error screen. ARG!!!!!
Can it be the xbox is too hot and there is no message for that or is the disk really jacked? It looks fine, no scratches at all... Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

    I hate this SH%%!!!!

Howie, how old is your XBOX? There has been some Dirty Disk
Error problems with version 1.0 Xbox's. Version 1.1 has different Drives. Anyone have DDErrors with version 1.1?
Version 1.1 is any Xbox with a mfg date of 9/02 or later.

I have 1.0 then. Is there anything I can do to prevent that from happening?

I had this happen last night, in the middle of a boss fight in PDO! the game started to seize up, the music got all weird...what terrible timing.

I rebooted the machine, and it was better...I'll have to check the date on my Xbox. I'm not sure when it was built.

Howie, I would call Microsoft and explain your problem, they might repair it free, they have for some of the Guys on here, Its worth a shot. I think Microsoft is aware of the situation with the Drives.

Run a search on the video game forums for "xbox dirty disc". You'll find numerous hits with suggestions.

If you bought your Xbox at EB w/extended store warranty, just take it back. They'll hand you a brand new one.

...just remember to back up any important saves you have onto a memory card before you do anything with your Xbox.
