Two questions:
1) Why do they call the deleted scenes outtakes, until I watched them, that really confused me. I thought that maybe they left the deleted scenes off the disc.
2) I watched the deleted scenes and the movie last night. I don't know much technical info about movies/dvd, but it looked like the aspect ratio of the movie and the deleted scenes were different. If so, why is that?

First off. WELCOME TO THE FORUM!
I also noticed that the deleted scenes were presented in a 1.85:1 ratio while the movie was obviously 2.35:1. I have absolutely no idea why. It is possible that the deleted scenes were not completely finished, although they looked and sounded very good for deleted scenes.
Someone here will know.
