A friend and I are talking about going on a roadtrip and/or camping in the next couple of months (have a week of vacation I need to use). Does anyone have any reccomendations/favorite places?

We will be departing either from North Alabama or Nashville, TN. and distance is not too much of a factor.

So what are some sites that "must be seen" in the US?

Thanks!

I would suggest any national park. I'm partial to Acadia up in Maine. That way you can see all sorts of cool new england stuff from the revolution days.

Also, Put-In-Bay in Ohio is a good place to camp and Cedar Point amusement park is only about an hour away.

Acadia NP fees to rise

Acadia is a wonderful place. Take the ferry into Nova Scotia too, better yet, take you bike on the ferry and just bike around Nova Scotia. (Or go bouldering on there, sorry, I just saw a short film on bouldering in Nova Scotia).
