I am looking for a good rack for my components including a Rotel RSX-1065.

I remember hearing about a high-end rack from Australia that has a reputation for being one of the best. I think the name is composed of two words that rhyme but I can't remember what it is. Can anyone help me remember the name of this rack? I think it costs 5 or 10K. Thanks.

Also, does anyone know of any high-quality racks with marble shelves?

Lovan makes some excellent equipment racks, sans marble shelving. Naim makes the best looking rack, to me, called the Naim Fraim. Could that be your elusive ryhming rack maker?

Although, Naim is English, not Australian. Their racks are both functional and costly, hovering between the $5k and $10K figures you mention.

Bowers Wilkins (great name btw lol but is that really your real name?),

The Naim Fraim is indeed English and not Australian. I don't really know of any high-end audio rack specialists in Australia that costs 5-10K US $$$. Cost of the Naim frame- Base frame costs around US$800, then add $500 for each shelf. These prices are approximate only (converted from English pounds, your local distributor will probably charge more). Also, buying a rack that costs several times the cost of your receiver might not be the greatest idea. A custom made shelf would cost significantly less.

Cheers,
Mike

The best source of reviews on the Fraim is from actual owners. Go to the Naim forum and do a search on "Fraim." Here is the link:

You should be warned that racks produce some strong views on the Naim forum, especially regarding Mana, which is another well regarded rack. Mana has their own forum.
If you have a budget in mind that you can share here may get more specific recommendations.

Bowers,

There is a review of the Naim Fraim in the HiFi Choice magazine about 2 months ago. PM me if you want to know more.

Cheers,
Mike
