Hi,
I was looking for some good sites to buy non-region 1 dvd's since i recently got a non-region player. Anybody have any good sites with decent prices delivered to the U.S.? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

I order from hkflix.com a lot, and have always had a good experience. They deal primarily with Asian disks, but they have a good selection of Euro titles as well...

i recently asked the same question myself. all the information i got from everyone in my thread was very helpful, if you get a chance run a search... there is also a very good list over at DVDTalk; where to purchase from all over, all regions, quite a list.

personally, i have only ordered from the UK myself, but i found CD-WOW.com and Amazon.uk to have the most reasonable prices, just my opinion...

hope this helps,

I, too, recommend Amazon UK when this question comes up (as it often does). Amazon UK deducts the 17.5% Value Added Tax (VAT) imposed by the European Union countries. Most other European etailers I'm aware of do NOT do this. Once you sign in to Amazon UK (indicating a non-EU address), the site will show you the price in US dollars with the VAT deducted.

Usually, I purchase 3 or 4 discs at once to save on shipping costs. Often I'll place sample orders (without entering the credit card payment) with several etailers, like Amazon UK, BlackStar, Bensons, and Movie Mail, so I can compare the final price with shipping charges. Amazon UK has always worked out cheaper in my experience.

Actually, play.com ships to Europe. I live in Finland and it is my main R2 source (hate translated covers and such that you get with the finnish/swedish editions).

Right, Kimmo,

I was being US-centric again, thinking only about my own country. I have to try getting better at my perspective. Sorry for the error- I have corrected my statement.:b
