What a funny show! Great actors, good material, two beautiful and cute girls... all I could ask for. [IMG]
Yes, it was a generic sitcom, but it was very well made, and it felt very familiar yet fresh at the same time, and the actors/characters had great chemistry. I'll be watching this one for sure.

I watched it because I wanted to see more of that cutie in the commercials. She's a lot cuter in the show. I'll be watching the show again because of her.

Indeed, I was very pleasantly surprised by Good Morning Miami. Extremely funny and Ashley Williams is an absolute doll.

About as funny as Wings. BTW, that's not a totally backhanded compliment, as I used to watch that shows 4 times a day. I wouldn't cry if I missed it, but I'd watch it if it was on. 90% rote sitcom stuff but a few laugh out load moments. Enough to keep me tuning in. Also, much better than any the shows previously sandwiched between Friends and W&G (although the fact that it's watchable wins that distinction by default).

And yes, Ashley Williams is as cute as hell (cuter than her sister Kimberly). Gotta say, I wouldn't have even recorded much less watched the show if she wasn't so appealing.

I loved the male host of the morning show... a nice "Troy McLure" vibe there.

I thought this show was a dud. I don't think I'll be watching in the future. I agree the girl was hot though.

Yeah, this one is a dud. There is nothing worse than predictable comedy. Especially the beginning. The only interesting character is the self-centered host.

I thought it was hideous. That whole opening scene was so predictable....
-You know you're 15 minutes late?
-Yes, well someone named Penny was supposed to pick me up at the airport.
-Oh, you can't depend on Penny. She's unreliable and just roams around here eating the free food.
-*laugh* Hi, I'm ------ (I can't even remember his name).
    -Hi, I'm Penny.

And the whole point of this show is going to be him trying to steal away the girlfriend of the anchorman? How pathetic.

Yep, the opening scene was pathetic, but I really liked everything else!

I liked it better when it was called NewsRadio.

I've only watched this one episode ('Jake' tries to be a tough guy boss), but I won't be back.

Cute girls alone do not a quality sitcom make.

i thought that they seemed to make it seem like the girl has a pretty good head on her shoulders...smart.

but what would someone like that be doing with the anchor guy who doesnt appear to have any redeeming qualities at all.

i do like the show but they need to get her away from the anchor or the whole premise of the show won't work for me.

new guy falls for pretty smart/pretty girl, smart girl is seeing the self centered anchor guy, maybe smart/pretty girl isn't so smart.
so maybe new guy shouldnt be so into her, she's not worth the trouble.

I think the show is DOA but that the lead actress is a hit. They should find her the right vehicle for her talent (similar to the way they did for Deborah Messing). Then again, I also liked Ned & Stacey and Something So Right.

It was alright. Typical sitcom. Two lovely ladies are a good touch, but you can get that on just about any show. I thought the Nun was actually kinda funny, but seemed like a reaccuring SNL character that would get annoying after awhile.

I predict it will last about as long as Stark Raving Mad.

As far as good writing content. [IMG] Cute girl. [IMG] But its not enough to make it must see. Im usually a lazy bastard on Thursday because it getting to the end of the week and I want to make sure I get some sleep because I know ill be up late on Friday. Other than pure laziness, id probably skip it. My $.02

Of course, I liked that show a lot too. [IMG]
I'm surprised that you all are so negative towards the show, I find it funny and well-written. Yes, it contains some very familiar elements, but they work...

So far the only thing I like about that show is the cute girl. I'll probably watch a few more episodes because my wife likes it.

Mark Feuerstein is the kiss of death when it comes to sitcoms. I think I can almost count on one hand how many failed shows he's been on on NBC.

He should marry Paula Marshall... Well, that wouldn't really be a punishment now would it?
