I just got a new laptop at work and it has a DVD-ROM in it. I want a really "light" ie non-intrusive, simple, limited feature, freeware (available from download.com or the like) DVDplayer software. Any suggestions?

You can get Intervideo's DVD XPack which is essentially DirectX filters that can be exploited by just about any media player in existence including the Windows Media Player (I prefer the Inmatrix Zoom Player, it's overloaded with useful features). The XPack is only $15 on-line.
