Good Deal on a Mits WS-55711???? (1 Viewer)

I can get a Mits WS-55711 with a 5 yr extended warranty for $3339 sounds good to me how about you???

Sounds like you found an excellent deal, Kevin. I've been looking at the Mitsubishi WS-55711 too, but best price (so far) here in New England is $3,999 -- without service agreement.

I've also been considering the WS-55511 (same size in Mitsubishi's Platinum series) for $1200-$1500 less than the WS-55711 Diamond series. The specs on the Platinum and Diamond look very similar. Only differences I can see are the Diamond's better anti-glare screen protector, better (?) lenses on the Diamond, and different cabinet styles. So, I'm wondering if the WS-55711 Diamond is worth the extra money.

Hi, there are no really huge differences between the WS-55711 and the WS-55511. The lenses are the same, DM module software the same. As Dan said, the diamond shield and the cabinet would be basically the only differences you'll be able to see, but some ISF recommend you to take the shield off. So, you might as well go for the WS-55511.

Yeah I think I convinced myself that I would be very happy with the 55511 I just don't think a glossy cabinet and a anti-glare screen is worth the extra $$. I'll save it for a Superdish later this summer.
