Going to LA in two weeks, what to see? (1 Viewer)

I have never been to the West Coast before. I just want to take advantage of low fares right now and go see a friend only for a couple of days (Thurday to Monday). Anything interesting I should not miss?

Holadem - I am actually going to San Diego, but I believe it is close enough.

Try to check out Coronado Island if you have the time. It is only a few minutes away from downtown San Diego. I went there for the first time a few months ago, and loved it. There isn't exactly a lot to do there, but it is just a great place to relax and unwind. Just a bunch of beaches, along with shops and restaurants along the street. Life seems to slow down when you're on the island, and it feels nice to get away from Orange County's "hip" culture.
