Anyone else who owns this disc seen this: Glowing hands?

Near the end of the movie, not sure which chapter, when the mob boss is in a dark lit room with Nicky's friend(?) and is making gestures with his hand--his hand is glowing bright white. I can't get rid of the glow, and it's the only disc in my 75+ collection that exibits this type of white intensity.

    Very weird!

There is a focused lighting effect in several places in the film- this is just one of the more obvious. A strong focused beam of overhead lighting is placed in a set, and when things pass in front of (through) it, you get a rather stylized effect of a glow.

It is in several locations in this film, and pops up in dozens of other ones as well.

That glowing effect is a trademark of cinematographer Robert Richardson.

He often uses intense overhead lighting (also see Bringing out the Dead, NBK, Heaven and Earth, Nixon, The Doors, Wag the Dog...)
