Also, we have information you fans of director Ridley Scott should heed ASAP. DreamWorks is going to soon re-issue Gladiator as a single-disc edition... meaning that the excellent DVD special edition is going to disappear from store shelves.

I'm not a Ridley Scott fan, but i do like some of his films such as Alien, Blade Runner, and Black Hawk Down. I was on the fence with purchasing the Gladiator Special Edition becuase it is not one of his films i like as much as the three i mentioned. But if this new single disc will lose all the special features, and the DTS-ES track, i might buy it just in case.

Anyone know if this new disc will feature the same video transfer and audio (ie. DTS-ES)...?

Doesn't everyone already own Gladiator? I thought it came packaged with every DVD player, like Blade Runner and The Matrix.
