I was set to buy a pair of Energy C5s and CC1 tomorrow, then I stumbled across this site and read that Energy will soon release a new center with 6.5 woofers to match those of the C5s. I auditioned the CC1 in my system last month and thought (for $350) it was outperformed by my $200 Paradigm CC-170. The C5s were fabulous, but they didn't match too well with the Paradigm center, so now I am going to wait until the new center is available, then I will buy all three. Great info here. Thanks.

I would also shell out the additional cash for the C-7, it sounds much better than the C5 in my opinion.

I haven't listened to the C7s, but if I were to buy them, logic would dictate that I buy the CC1 because of the matching 5.5 inch drivers for better all-around sound. If I were to buy something bigger than the C5s, it would have to be the 9s, which I wouldn't want to do because of all that extra $$$.
