In celebration of 8+ years here on HTF, I am giving away 3 of my last generation components, all 'as is' but in working order, for local pickup in NJ. I have moved to new receiver and display technology, but these parts are still fully functional and have served me well in my quest to gradually grow into a HT enthusiast.

I'm looking for good candidates to give this stuff to, people that will generally appreciate the items, specifically young college students or the like, who would find getting the items at retail to be a big dent on their budget, but would definitly use em daily. So, if you already have a nice setup, please move along, or consider a give away of your own =)

The first two items are a matched set. The workhorse Denon 3200 receiver with an outboard DTS processor.

    Front 85W + 85W (8/ohms, 20Hz-20kHz with .05% T.H.D.)
    Center 85W (8/ohms, 20Hz-20kHz with .05% T.H.D.)
    Surround 85W + 85W (8/ohms, 20Hz-20kHz with .05% T.H.D.)
    Binding posts for all terminals
Bi-Wiring for front and center channel
    Glow Key universal remote(programable)
    6-channel input for outboard decoder(DTS)
    Cinema Eq.
    Dialog Comp(low, mid, high, off)
    Dialog Norm.(on, off)
    5-channel stereo

I dont recall the DTS decoders model number, but I think its a Yamaha. Works great together with the 3200.

Next item up is a BEAST. It is a circa 1998 34" Widescreen TUBE display. It is the legendary "Sam's club special, the RCA Cinemascreen G34170AT.

It weighs about 400 pounds and will require 2-3 people to move it out of my home, tho fortunately it is in a garage for easy loading and no longer in my den. You will need to be ABSOLUTELY sure you can move this into your home =) Not for apartment dwellers. Stairs of any kind are a challenge, but it is on wheels so once on a level floor its not too bad.

    From an online review:

I will try to take a snap of it if anyone wants it (and I havent gotten requests for it before then sight unseen).

Anyway, for those interested, this IS NOT A RACE. Send me an email at [email protected] (tho I will follow up in this thread, private emails are probably best) and I will see what kind of responses I get and figure out who I'd like to see get them. I'll go over the responses today and tomorrow with answers to any questions, and some time monday night I'll contact the interested parties and set up a time for them to be picked up at my home by the 'winners'.

Hopefully someone will get as much joy as I have out of these items, they are not ready for the junkyard yet, that is for sure, and I'd love to do my small part to see the hobby grow.

I emailed you and I'm willing to pay shipping on the first two items if you're willing to go through the hassle of shipping them.

Whether I get them or not, this is quite generous of you.

OK, I have gone through the emails and have chosen a recipient, who has been contacted via email. Thanks all who were interested.

The 34" widescreen tube TV is however still up for grabs, and while I did sway a bit from my original request of local pickup on the receiver, I absolutely insist on it for this set. If you are interested in this awesome set and have the means to haul it away, give me a shout on this thread or at [email protected]

The TV made it home alright. Got it downstairs last night (took 4 of us) and were too tired to set it up.
Everything will be hooked up tonight and I will post pics.
