I got this through on a dealer sheet on Tuesday but I didn't post anything because I expected it to be all over the news sites with details of featues & maybe artwork as all I have is the release date.

Anyway seeing as this hasn't happened yet, I thought I'd at least let you guys know the date.

Obviously a thread that will rival Rings and Star Wars before long. [IMG]

    Oh well...

Watching the DVD this morning I noticed there was dialogue on the subtitles that was not audible in the movie.
So, I went bact to verify this.
Right at 30:00 Pieter & Griet are walking and two ladies approach them. The women make comments that are mostly inaudible but they show up in full in the subs.
Then Peter makes a comment (in the subs) but I heard NOTHING from the actor.
I was going to check other audio languages but the DVD offered nothing but English.

This DVD was SUCH a huge disappointment.

This movie looked breathtaking in the theater, but the DVD had so much grain and looked so soft I thought I was watching a VHS instead of a DVD.

This wasn't a case of the disc "representing the actual look of the film", as what I saw in the theater looked clean as a whistle and didn't have that fugly yellow tint the DVD has.

Huh, I thought the reason there is so much grain is because the film is supposed to resemble brush strokes, as if the movie got painted onto a canvas.

    Maybe I was wrong. :b

I haven't seen the DVD, but recorded it on my DVR when Showtime-HD had a free preview several weeks back. It did not appear overly soft or grainy to me in HD. Pretty good detail as I recall.
