I have seen a lot of people ask about shows they want on DVD. I have two I would like to see on DVD. Gimme A Break! and Route 66. Any one else?:rolleyes

I doubt "Gimme A Break" will ever make it to DVD. :frowning:

Nell Harper (grating, loud, and -- some might say, stereotypical -- African-American housekeeper to a white family) would probably be considered too "politically incorrect" by TPTB at Universal for today's audiences.

Nell Carter did play the "Mammy" role, I doubt we will ever see this show on dvd.

I would be interested in this title.

My favorite episode from this series was when Nell was trapped inside a building with a deaf women during an Earthquake. I remember laughing so hard during that one.

Nell Carter was already a star on Browadway before Gimme A Break, so that might be a reason to release the show.
