For a course I am teaching, I am looking for an example of the ever-increasing practice of a character in one TV series making reference to a different TV series. I realize that "Gilmore Girls" is famous for its pop culture references, but the proportion of its pop culture references made to TV shows is not that substantial.

Anyway, I need to find a clip quickly (for the next class session), and I don't have time to watch through a whole bunch of episodes. And so, I was wondering if any of you would be able to direct me to a specific season one episode from which I could get such a clip. Thanks!

The Episode Guide at www.tvtome.com includes some of the cultural references from each show, although they don't list very many. You can scan that list to see if anything pops out.

The only one's I did see that were TV references were from episode 13, "Concert Interruptus". At some point Rory says, "This stuff is like tribbles." and at some point Paris says, "...and before it's dark, they'll have every picnic basket that's in Jellystone Park."
