OK, so I win this auction at my local theater, and bid above another guy on this HUGE three panel Spiderman 2 standup marquee poster. I saw it at the theater at promo time and when we saw the movie, but it doesn't register. As I'm driving I keep telling myself, "What am I gonna do with this thing?" "this is nuts."
I show up at the theater to claim my prize, and HOLY CRAP!!!
This monster is about 8 feet tall. The main part is about six feet by four feet, triangular-shaped, with all the pictures printed on heavy duty cardboard... the base, that is separate, is about two feet tall.
It's cool as hell, I just don't think I can do anything with it.
The cool thing is, is that the theater uses the monies from all these kind of auctions to go to needy families at Christmas time, so, not a total loss.
Maybe I"ll Ebay the thing, unless one o' you guys around here, that has one o' those large "real" HT's is interested.
    PM me anybody?

Mods, hop this is the right area, thanks

I've got a large Jim Carrey "Grinch" standee that I don't have anywhere to put in my basement.
I'm going to see if my 6 year old cousin wants it.
Rather if his Dad will take it home.

    eBay sounds good.
The only thing I would worry about is shipping something so large.
Are you going to make the auction for local buyers so they can pick it up?

Not sure about the shipping, usually the buyer pays shipping, no?
Yeah I can post some pics, Ive got it disassembled now, though. Poss to semi-assemble and get photos.
Last night my daughters are goin' "NO, NO,.. don't get rid of it"
I dunno, It's just too damn big to do anything with.

I work at a dealership with UPS and FEDEX coming in daily.
You can also hire over the road transport for a nominal fee, of course
