Hi everyone. I'm having a problem with ghosting and shadows using Comcast. My digital box is the Motorola 2524. I'm going to try replacing the coaxial cables to see if that helps. Does anyone else have ideas of what is causing this? Thanks.

Most problems like this can be traced to the cabling. Make sure all connections between the service and the cable box are good. This means any that might be in the attic, and even the one at the wall plate (remove it and check the one inside). If any of the F connectors look like they were not professionally installed (i.e., not a perfectly round or hexagonal crimp), or if any of them are loose when you try to give them a twist, it needs to be fixed.

Another thing to look for is any RG-59 that might be in the line. Only RG-6 should be used for cable TV.
