I am getting ready to tak ethe plunge...and I have it narrowed down to two candidates.

I am looking at the Mitsubishi XD300U and the Dell 4100MP.

Bothe projectors have good reviews so I looked at the lower ones. The reviews at www.projectorcentral.com say that the 300U had rainbow effect sometimes. The reviews say that the Dell is unreliable and has terrible customer service. Anyone have any experience with either one of these? What would you get? Any others I should be looking at?

How much are you getting these for? You may be in the market for an Infocus 4805 then.

    $500 give or take $300.

I will use this mostly for DVDs and a computer later.

There is a lot of ambient light during the day in my living room. I was trying to go with a brighter projector for that reason.

Whoa, that's way too cheap...The bulb for those projectors alone are worth $300-400! [IMG]
