The addition to my house will be finished in the next 5 weeks and have narrowed down to the following Widescreen RPTV's:

Mitsubishi 65809- can be purchased locally for approx $3200

Mitsubishi 65869- can be purchased locally for approx $4100

Pioneer SD-643HD5- can be purchased online with shipping for approx $3350

This tv will be used for primarily dvds

I also can get Toshibas locally but concerned about ghosting problems

I like the idea of getting the Mitsubishi locally but am concerned about "Red Push" problem

The Pioneer seems like the best deal but am concerned with such a large purchase online and I have no local dealers anywhere near that price.

    Any input would be appreciated

So, none of the local dealers will price match? Online ordering of such a big-ticket item is only a problem when you receive a defective unit--returns can be hassle, primarily in terms of shipping costs and inconvenience.

I hear your concern about the Toshs.

remember that the red push in the Mits is fixable

Doesnt Best Buy carry the Pioneers?

    Best of luck!!

I looked online at Best Buy and dont see any Pioneers. Was there a couple months back and they had a 53" Pioneer and the sales guy said that was all they carried. I want 64" or 65"
