I'm surprised this sneaked past me, as I'm a big fan of early cinema, but there have been no topics here about this release, nor anywhere else really. Only noticed it due to it being reviewed by DVD Talk: DVD Talk Review: Georges Melies: First Wizard of Cinema

Sounds like an amazing set. Anyone have it?

Terrific set, with virtually everything that survives of Melies' work.

It's certainly an amazing set. I've gone through the 60 films on Disc 1 and about 12 of the films on Disc 2 so I've still got over a hundred to go. It was certainly worth the $66 I paid.

dOc DVD Review: Houdini the Movie Star (1919-1923)

Again, this set collects most everything surviving that stars the escape artist. They're not exactly good films, but they're certainly fascinating viewing.

Prints are in pretty nice condition though most are fragmentary to some extent.
