[I'm guilty of this a lot of times. I love throwing sympathy votes to great films that I thought will be shut out here in any of our HTF tournaments. Hey, the superior film will win anyway. I know (who have'nt voted yet) somebody here who dislike Hitchcock's films so much that they will for sure vote against Notorious. ]

But if the tournament rule states that in case of a tie, the tie-breaker will favor the film which gets more cumulative votes in previous votings then ...

Well in this tourney, a tie simply means I get to vote, in which case I'll vote for the film I think is the best regardless of any other factor.
