$400 for the GeforceFx 5800
$500 for the GeforceFx 5800 ultra
As for the pricing, we have some clues for you. Nvidia mentioned in one presentation that the card will be in the high-end price range, mentioning the Geforce 2 Ultra and we all know how expensive that was.
The Geforce FX 5800 Ultra will be for rich gamers who do not need to worry about money, since we expect they'll have to fork out around $499 (US) to own one.
The normal version - called Geforce FX 5800 - should cost $399 just as much as the TI 4600 cost when it was introduced.

Its a ripoff if you ask me. More than $700 Canadian for a video card?

I agree. Waaaaaaaaay too much for a video card. I'm currently in the market for a card and I'll probably be going with either a Ti4200 or Ti4400.

When games become available that need a card like the GeForceFX, it will be MUCH cheaper to buy a GeForceFX.

The GeForce 2 Ultra was not mentioned in the presentation, and no prices have been announced.

Why would anyone listen to the Inqwell? They're wrong at least 80% of the time!

Anandtech reported the FX to be around $360. Sounds pretty reasonable (and expected) to me if you're talking the best money can buy for consumer graphics cards.

While I do enjoy the improvement the Ti4600 has made with my games, I don't see any games in the near future that could make necessary a $500 upgrade.

I bought my 256 Geforce DDR for $300 when it came out. It only feels like yesterday...

Now my card can't even play UT2 or even War3 without a little lag.

Until there is an actual press release from Nvidia I don't believe what anyone else states, especially when they say $500.
