del Toro says no in the linked article. I think he had a bit more control this time around. It's amazing the clout an Oscar nom will get you.

Sony has recently changed their policy re: licensing so a box set is probably within the realm of possibility. They also made that deal to get "Dr. Strangelove" into the first two Kubrick box sets from Warner Bros. I own both versions of "Hellboy" on DVD so it's a non-issue for me unless there's some sort of really impressive context exclusive to the box but it's not altogether out of the question like it would have been even a year ago.
