I went on holiday to San Francisco last month, and its occurred to me that I'd like to get some more games that I can admire the scenery of the area in, preferably the whole of the Bay area. Does anyone have any recommendations?
If you're recommending PC titles like Flight sims, I've got XP without any dual booting, so confirmation that any recommended titles work there would be great.
    For reference, I already have:
Super Runabout (DC) Great modelling of the city, slightly wasted on a far too short game with no real 'wander around' mode
Metropolis Street Racer (DC) I'm nowhere near good enough to get free roaming unlocked, or even get off level 2 [IMG]
Midtown Madness 2 (PC) Great fun, though only a VERY rough approximation of the city
F-18 Interceptor (Amiga) Bona Fide classic, though obviously shows its age rather...
cheap as chips would be a bonus as well, obviously.

Rent an Xbox and Project Gotham Racing. Enter Nosliw (note caps) for a new driver to unlock everything. San Francisco is one of the cities featured and by unlocking you can go into a free roam by the Bay.

Thanks Jay - I hope to get an XBox for Christmas, and I have heard that PGR is a little more reasonable on us useless people than MSR was.

Tony Hawk 4 has a good San Francisco level as well. And I'll second Project Gotham--it's one of the few levels I've unlocked Free Roam in, and it's a blast to cruise around, smashing traffic cones. [IMG]

I have this crazy idea for a game that might be perfect for you. It's called

    San Francisco Rush

Didn't "Driver" have some San Francisco missions? I'm pretty sure it did.

In terms of Flight Sims, I would think that Microsoft Flight Simulator would probably fit the bill.

I forgot, Test Drive has a bunch of SF streets, the Golden Gate bridge etc. but the game's not as fun as PGR, IMO.

yeah, i'd recommend PGR, and MSR, coz the Devs mapped out every landmark and stuff so the roads are EXACTLY the way they are in real life.

Thanks everyone. I'll hold fire until after Christmas then, to see what Santa brings...
