My local BB manager gave me a heads up this week that Blockbuster Corporate had sent word to all stores that they are to discontinue the renting of game systems. All rental systems are to be clearanced out of the store.

XBOX $120
PS2 $120
Gamecube $99

I picked up a xbox this morning and waiting for a Gamecube to come from rental.

Of course all systems come with the 30 day money back guarantee.

I would hold back on picking up that Gamecube. Starting Feb. 9, many retailers will be offering Gamecubes for the standard price of $150.00 with a free game (either Mario Party 4, Metroid, RE Zero, or Starfox). Therefore, if you plan on picking up one of these games anyway (provided they are standard price), you could essentially get a new Cube for $99.00 anyway. I'm all for saving money and all, however, I am hesitant to pick up a system that isn't only used, but used my a hoard of different types of people.

Just my three cents.
