Yes, this was great fun. My wife and I laughed out loud repeatedly. In fact, we couldn't stop snort-laughing at one point.

The film required some significant suspension of disbelief, but I was expecting that.

The Booth Bijou gives 'Game Night' 4.5 out of 5 stars.

If you haven't already seen the trailer, I suggest you do NOT watch it. I think the trailer gives away too much.

For its premise, it didn't fizzle out early, so I was entertained for most of the film, for its genre.

It was weird to see Landry and Coach Taylor (from the "Friday Night Lights" TV show) as contemporaries in this film. LOL!

Rachel McAdams was actually kinda funny in this screwball-ish comedy. And stay until the very end of the credits for a bonus scene.

This was a fun film. Thought one of the action sequences was especially well done for a comedy. My sister thought it was a "weird movie", but oh well.

I must say I laughed out loud several times. I thought it was relatively entertaining, but, it did have some moments that didn't work for me. Anyhow, my film grade is 3.5 out of 5.0. I probably won't be buying this on disc.

Damn - wish I'd known this in advance! I checked "RunPee" because they give that info and they did indicate there'd be "credits footage", but I thought the early/mid-credits bit was it so I didn't stay until the very end.

Oh well - I'll see the Blu-ray and can watch the tag then!

Liked this one a fair amount. Well-trodden story territory - we've gotten roughly 10,000,000 "suburbanites stuck in action adventure" movies over the years - but it boasted strong execution and a good cast.

Jason Bateman essentially just plays "the Jason Bateman character" - low-key, stoic, slightly acerbic - but like Jeff Goldblum, he plays his signature persona so well that I don't care how little he deviates from his norm.

McAdams doesn't provide a revelation, as she's always been good, but she seems to let loose more than usual so she holds her own. She delivers a lot of good comedic moments and she meshes well with Bateman.

The supporting actors add a lot of spice - especially Plemons. He'll never stop looking too much like Matt Damon for me to avoid distraction, but he underplays his sad sack character wonderfully and delights in all his scenes.

Does the movie hold up to any form of logical scrutiny? Of course not, but it doesn't really matter. "Game Night" delivers a brisk, fun farce with more than enough laughs along the way.

Though I admit I'm disappointed that
Fake Denzel wasn't actually Denzel Washington with some makeup![/quote]

Most big screen comedies for the last decade or so just haven't clicked with me for whatever reason, but I laughed a lot with this one. John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein do a decent job directing when they have a better screenplay than their own to work with.

My only criticism is that there were a few too many twists piled on in the final act.
