I just went to the Nintendo website to get this cable...thus my question. Are the Cube games only progressive??? Thing is, My 400Q doesn't do progessive..at least I don't think it does.

    Any tips?

No, only about half of the Cube games are progressive at all, and even those will optionally allow you to do 480i through the component outputs.

Thanks dad! Can't wait to get my cable!

BTW, in Rogue Leader, there is an interlace option (which I assume is for the component cable). Does anyone know if this is progressive and thus won't work on our projector???

After you've got the component cables hooked up, the menu will allow to select between sending out an interlaced or progressive signal. If you use any cables other than component cables you won't get the choice.

yes, Morgan the interlace option is progressive, if you have the cable installed you will be able to choose it but if the set doesnt support it, well you know... but still on its own the component cables will make a big difference in the quality of the colors, sharpness, etc. (but you prolly already know that!) Once the component cables are plugged in to the cube most games will give you the option of progressive scan. Madden 2002 has a simple progressive y/n choice in the settings menu.

    Looks fantastic too.

Just got my cables today. All the games looked great except madden. Does any one have a problem with Madden having a black bar at the bottom when in Progressive mode? Before the cable it waws all set up for widescreen and there was no problem, now with the cables there is a black space at the bottom. I am using a Mitsu 55807
