    Hello Everyone,
I don't know why there hasn't been a thread started on this already, but, I read some information from www.joesightings.com that is quite interesting.
"The first two-disc, ten-episode set will be titled G.I. Joe -- The Original Mini-Series: A Real American Hero & The Revenge of COBRA (MSRP $29.95, on sale February 11, 2003).
A second version of the set (limited to 25,000 copies) will include a collectible 3 3/4-inch Snake Eyes action figure (MSRP $39.95, on sale May 2003). Special features for the limited-edition set are still being determined. As always, information is subject to change."
Sounds like they are releasing a bare-bones edition in February, followed by a special edition with figure. Hopefully they aren't going through that infamous MSCL retailer. These mini-series are also known as "The MASS Device", and "The Weather Dominator".
I remember renting these GI Joe videos so many times from Erol's when I was younger, and will definitly plunk down the money for these releases.

The first two mini-series are not part of season 1; they aired in 1983 and 1984 respectively. The first full season began in 1985.

YES! I've been waiting for this day for a long time. It will be a challenge to hold off until May though!!

Everybody go out and buy these sets! That will ensure that the rest of the series is released as well.

    Thanks RHINO!!

Can't wait to pick this up. I hope strong sales will encourage release of season sets. They've done a great job on Transformers, I'm looking forward to the same on GI Joe

Wonderful! I have the GI Joe movie (the one with Cobra La), and can't wait for these. The movie also has many of the public service announcements (the "Knowing is half the battle" shorts)--I'd love to see more of those, and maybe some commercials?

Great news about the DVDs. I've been watching the reruns on Cartoon Network and remembering what a great series it was.
