Futurama is fantastic and I wished this wouldn't be the last season [IMG]. It is a shame to have the Simpsons still on long after they were due and see Futurama go down. The show is funny, way funnier than the Simpsons these days, and it has potential for a few more seasons.
Anyway, tonight's episode (hehe, it's great to get it a day earlier) is the first of Season 5. As always it contains some jokes I have no idea how they got away with "Don't stop" [IMG]
. Bender shows unexpected love for reptiles, Dr. Farnsworth has to save the world again and Al Gore is ... Al Gore.
Bender: "This could mean the end of the Banana Dakari as we know it ... [dramatic pause] ... also life."

Considering they have around 30 episodes in the hopper, and at best get to show 15 of them a year, I'd say that we have at least another season

I dunno. Right now, I'm watching Futurama and not football. Might have something to do with the Fox station we get here (NY).

To make it worst for us, not only it is skip over, but they bother to instead air the normal Simpson RERUN that came on after instead. So instead of watching a fun new episode of Futurama, I get "Weekend at Burnies", a average episode. Come on Cartoon Network and steal Futurama away.

My affiliate showed it. It was a pretty good episode, but hardly one of the best.

Fox does not deserve to air this show (nor The Simpsons, nor King of the Hill for that matter).

Not pre-empted here - the Pats must have been playing a 4pm game on CBS, so the Fox affiliate didn't have NFL coverage.

Not a bad episode, but not one of "Futurama"'s best, either.

    Pre-empted here in Houston. [IMG]
What really sucks about this is that with "The X-Files" gone, Fox has a full hour of slack in its Sunday night schedule. But instead of a new "Futurama", we get reruns of "The Simpsons" & "Malcolm".
How about moving "Futurama" to 9:30 EST/8:30 CST, Fox?? Schedule your damn reruns for the first hour, so football overruns don't affect the showing of your first run shows??
They must really hate this show.

I believe that us here in Houston have seen about 2 or 3 episodes in the period of 2 years because of that stupid football. Less Terry Bradshaw, more Bender please.

    ~Kevin

(P.S.) Taxi Cab Confession: I never saw one episode of the X files in its original run on FOX. Now I own every box set released so far.
