Can anyone help with a resource that will help layout the best arrangement of furniture (chairs and couches, etc.) for a home theater. Is there a definitive guide or source that people know of thanks.

Stereophile Guide to Home Theater had a monthly feature called Home Theater Architect written by Russ Herschelmann about building a theater. He did have an article about seating. The two points I remember are the seatback should be below the ears, and seats shouldn't be placed in room nulls.

Adam, what exactly do you mean by room nulls and where do you find them? Just curious

A room null is a spot where frequenies cancel each other out. You can download an Excel spreadsheet that will help you calculate them based on your room size here:
