For the Video signal (S-Video or Components) from DVD should go straight to TV or should go to Receiver and Receiver to TV????

Either will work, going directly to the TV might provide superior fidelity, but you would lose the switching capabilities of your reciever. Its really your call, but if you have enough inputs on your tv, go for it.

You can go either way but I would go straight to the TV for the best picture possible.

hahhahah, now I don't have to spend another cable. Actually I'm using 2 S-Video cables (DVD to Receiver to TV) and one cable is a very good cable, the other one is junk. Now I can get rid of it and hook up directly from DVD to TV.
First, I thought connect it through receiver will give me better pic quality.

What about VCR??? Should it goes straight to TV too??? If so, I can save another cable.
